About Us

This Crazy Little Farm is a literal little farm. I live on it in Alaska with my husband and our four kids. And yes, it can get kinda crazy sometimes. Miniature horses, wannabe cattle dogs, barn cats that live to lick our faces, a recently deceased hedgehog, dwarf goats….It can get weird.

But This Crazy Little Farm is really about the love and the learning and the laughs…whether because of the animals or because of the people that fill this place. That’s the stuff that makes the weird not so weird and the crazy just right.

Welcome to our crazy little farm. I’m so glad you’ve come to visit! Things round here change with the seasons, sometimes with the day. But some things here always stay the same. We love the Lord, we love each other, and we love our critters.

And as long as we’re here, I’ll be writing about it all. If I were smart I’d be writing and marketing the farm brand and platform, but selling our life doesn’t interest me much so you’ll find this writer just writing about the things that make our world: Jesus, chickens, homeschool, little horses, disease, friendships, 4-H, Alaska, parenting, marriage… and sometimes, just a good ol’ barn report thrown in for good measure.

This little blog is my secret spot in the world where I come to write down all these days and I hope you enjoy being here in my quiet little corner as much as I love having you here. I’m thrilled you came to visit.

Hugs and love from our crazy little farm,

Cassandra Rankin
